History

Since the nascent stages of Saudi Arabia's modernization, the Binladin Enterprise, founded by Mohammed Binladin in 1931, has been instrumental in setting benchmarks for construction excellence. The enterprise played a pivotal role in the development of iconic projects such as the Haramain and critical infrastructure that contributed to the advancement of the nation’s progress. As Saudi Arabia evolved, so did the company, expanding its capabilities and becoming a vital collaborator and ally for the Saudi government, tackling increasingly sophisticated projects.

Building on the enduring legacy of Mohammed Binladin, the Saudi Binladin Group (SBG)  was established  in 1989 to further the vision of innovative construction and architectural excellence. SBG continued to diversify and expand, reaching across borders and sectors, establishing a global presence that mirrored Saudi Arabia’s growing influence on the world stage. This expansion involved an array of landmark projects that pushed the boundaries of engineering and architectural design.

In 2019, the transformation under Binladin International Holding Group (BIHG) marked a strategic pivot. This move was designed to enhance SBG and its subsidiaries, equipping them to meet the challenges of an evolving market and align with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030. Today, SBG and its subsidiaries remain a cornerstone of construction and innovation, continuing a legacy that has significantly contributed to the kingdom's infrastructure and skyline, committed to excellence and the future of global construction.
